At Stoddard Construction and Design Inc., the creative process continues as we share newer ideas, design concepts, and uses for recycled materials and timbers for the “Montana Home” experience. Recognized as the 2002 Parade of Homes “People’s Choice Best Home and Kitchen designs,” the 2004 Parade of Homes “Judges Choice Award,” and the 2007 Parade of Homes “People’s Choice Best Home Award,” Craig Stoddard continues to strive for excellence in building quality and design creativity.

“It is the journey of interpreting our client’s dreams and making them real that is our passion,” says Craig, the soft-spoken builder, designer, and founder. Craig has been working in architecture and building all of his professional life. At the age of 15, Craig began working for his architect/builder father. Then running his own General Contracting/Construction company and now designing and building upscale custom Montana homes. From building a Lakeside Cabin to designing the expansive Mountain Retreat, he is living his dream.

Craig’s pride and demand for excellence inspires loyalty from his subcontractors all of whom are selected for their dedication and high quality craftsmanship. Many years of refinements go into the design, finishes, and  structural integrity that are part of each home. The Arts and Crafts Movement, Frank Lloyd Wright, and the Greene and Greene style architecture have always influenced him, and he believes that they blend together in all his designs and construction projects.
